Olivia Newton-John, the powerhouse star of films like "Grease" and "Xanadu" tragically died at the age of 73 in her Southern California ranch home, TMZ reports.

"Physical" and "You're the One That I Want" was diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s and, although she had been in remission for more than 30 years and had the disease,

The delegate that affirmed her demise didn't express a reason, however, a nearby source to the family told TMZ, 

 "After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer."

Her husband released an official statement about her death that read, "Olivia has been a symbol of victory and hope for more than 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.

John Easterling, made the official announcement from her account, penning a heartwarming statement along with a gorgeous photo of the late actress.

Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which is dedicated to research on plant medicine and cancer."
